The Central Bureau of Statistics is a huge organisation with and large number of highly qualified staff. These have a personal development plan and and training budget.
Gradually, an almost inseparable number of education and training opportunities arose, internal and external, whether or not in direct relation to the core processes, whether or not in fixed certified programmes and tracks. A confusing landscape of possibilities that was difficult to get a grip on.
I arranged and mapped this landscape together with the team that inventoried this area. The map highlights guides and ambassadors, who can further inform their colleagues about a particular area. The map was distributed on paper, and there is an interactive version that allows users to access the guides directly from the map.
With this view, CBS staff now have a powerful visual tool that provides overview, improves communication and helps realise plans.
