Spatial design Lochem municipality

Client: Municipality of Lochem | Groen + Schild, Deventer
In collaboration with: M2uur

Studio Groen+Schild created and realised the interior design for the new town hall for the municipality of Lochem. The design included a large number of glass walls that ensure optimum use of daylight in the interior. For these glass panes, I produced a design that blinds them with variable intensity to ensure user concentration without affecting light transmission. In some places, the design is open, while in others it is denser. In this way, an optimal balance between openness and privacy was achieved for each line of sight.
Production took place in collaboration with M2uur. The design was printed in opaque white and transparent red on special scratch-resistant film. The design is based on the nodes and cores that make up the municipality of Lochem. Furthermore, the design mirrors several elements of the interior design, such as the colour scheme and whimsical structures of some of the lighting fixtures placed in the design.
