Roads out of the Swamp is an analysis of how work for the disabled has ended up in the quagmire in recent years despite sincere ambitions, and along what paths it should succeed in getting out of this quagmire in the coming years.
The analysis and accompanying report were prepared by Robert Capel, organisational consultant and researcher. The observations and experiences are the product of many assignments and projects he has carried out in this sector over the past 15 years for workplaces, works councils, regions, municipalities, branch organisation, VNG, unions and ministry.
It helps in alleviating the bottlenecks of the overstretched labour market, generates social benefits and offers perspective to the people it should concern.
Based on Robert Capel's research, in a collaborative process I mapped the subject in detail and in an orderly manner. Together, a report, a website, and a cartography of the design clearly depict a complicated governance topic in full context at once. It brings legislators, politicians and administrators into conversation around a common bird's eye view. This is an unorthodox way of mapping administrative issues, but sometimes new inventive models are needed to get stalled social processes moving again.
